My father, Joe T Carrell, was a 60 year veteran of local church music.  He served only two churches during his entire tenure, FBC Tyler and Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin.  He was the featured soloist for a wide range of gatherings for local, state, and national SBC events.  When Glorieta or Ridgecrest Baptist Conference Centers would host “Music Weeks” for the Sunday School Board of the SBC, dad was the tenor soloist for most oratorios presented during those weeks.  He was a regular soloist for the BGCT Evangelism Conference, and the Pastor’s Conference for the SBC.  He blessed thousands upon thousands and he is blessing me today.  I pray his message and voice will touch your lives…..
