Blood and sorrow flow
From the languid brow of Jesus dying
And tears from heaven's eyes
Are the anguished drops of a Father crying
Oh why?
This must be a cross of love
For God to bruise His only Son
Prayer: Father, not only blood flowed from Jesus’ brow but did sorrow. Thank you for bearing the cross of love and our sorrow. May all who hear these words know the extent of Your love for us and confess Jesus as Lord. Amen.
